Do you like to eat fermented foods or drink fermented beverages?

Come be a Brewers Guild JUDGE!!!!

(You don’t need to be a brewer!)

Start your journey at one of the 4 beginning judging classes:
June 14 – Wine Judging – in Dun Or
July 26 – Fermented Foods Judging – in Altavia
Sept 27 – Beer Judging – in Gyldenholt
Oct 11 – Varietals Judging – in Dun Or (?)
Classes are 1-5pm. Start with 1-1 ½ hours of discussion on the mechanics of judging and what you are looking for in that category. Then you start tasting and judging items!

Completion of classes means you are now a Brewers Guild Judge in Training!!!!

As you judge at events and meetings, you’ll gain experience and advance in rank! To that end, you are invited to judge at the Brewers Guild Contest at Great Western War on 11/7/26!

People’s Choice BREWING & FERMENTING Contest at Isles Anniversary

Bring your Beer, Wine, Mead, Varietals, and Fermented Foods

to the Brewers Guild People’s Choice Contest!

Saturday October 17, 2026

You read that right … PEOPLE’S CHOICE … YOU get to help choose the winner!!! (Bring your ID to taste the alcohol entries)

BREWERS & FERMENTERS: Bring out your best brewed or fermented items: beer, wine, liqueur, cheese, sauerkraut, pickles, etc. to the 2nd Brewers Guild of Caid’s People’s Choice contest! Anything that has been yeast or lacto fermented. (This is a wet site and alcohol is allowed)

The contest will run for 1 hour, probably between noon and 1pm, listen for the announcement at opening court for the actual start time.

Brewers or a representative will be responsible for dispensing their entries to the voters. The guild will provide cups, plates, and forks – you provide the fermented items.

Check in at the brewer’s booth before the start of the contest to get your entry number(s).

A lovely wine glass will be awarded to the winning entry.

If you wish to have your entry judged for rank advancement, bring documentation and leave that and your bottle on the table after People’s Choice ends. We will announce when you can come pick up your entries.


Brewer’s Meet and Greet @ Great Western War

Calling all Brewers! Join us as we talk brewing and taste brewing!!!
Bring a tasting cup and bring whatever it is that you have been brewing.
All are welcome to attend,
California Law requires that you be 21 years old or older (valid photo ID required) to drink alcohol

Entries accepted on Saturday from 8am – 10am
You may enter up to 6 bottles (no more than two in any category)
Entry Fee Is $5 per entry
Winners will be announced and bottles and scores can be picked up at
Taste of Great Western War on Saturday Night at 9:00PM -11:00PM

Taste of Great Western War

Taste of Great Western War
The Annual Taste of Great Western War is a chance for brewers and non brewers, vintners, mead-makers, cordialiers, vinegrons, soda-creators, drink-mixers and drink-drinkers to gather in one place and share their creations.
All are welcome.
It is a fine time to meet many talented brewers who live across the Known World, swap brewing stories and techniques, as well as tasting some of the finest handcrafted brews.
The winners of the inter-kingdom brew contest will be announced at the event, contestants will be able to pick up their entries and scores.
Everyone sampling alcoholic beverages must be 21 years of age or older.
We will be carding people at the door, so please bring a valid photo ID.
